Salon Terms & Conditions April 1st 2023

Before the groom

Please ensure that pets have been given the opportunity to relieve themselves before entering the grooming salon.

It is the owner’s responsibility to inform the salon of any changes since your last visit, or any medical conditions your pet may have.

Owners are responsible for keeping their pet up to date with parasite treatments, and vaccinations.

Missed Appointments, Cancellations & Late Arrivals

If you are unable to make your scheduled appointment, please inform us as soon as possible. This allows us to re-book if possible.

If you miss an appointment or fail to give us 48 hours’ notice you are required to pay for your appointment.

Please Note
Make sure you arrive 5 minutes early for your scheduled appointment. This allows salon staff time to discuss your pet’s grooming session and maintain the daily schedule of appointments.

Matting & Knotting

We do our best to groom customers pets to their stylistic requests. However, where a dog’s coat is severely matted, we are under legal and ethical duty to relieve their stress and discomfort. This is the case, even where doing so may result in a style of coat inconsistent with a customers request.

In the unlikely case your pets coat is knotted or matted, it will have to be clipped (shaved off), and
dependent on the severity of the matted coat, which will be discussed prior to the dog’s groom, there could be an additional charge of £15.

By allowing your dog to be clipped, please note that there may be after grooming effects, or skin blemishes uncovered, due to the poorly maintained coat. In such instances, Day of the dog and its staff will not be held liable.

Fleas & Ticks

Dogs with a flea or tick infestation carry a risk of anaemia, infections, tapeworms, and other health problems. We recommend owners check and treat pets for fleas and ticks regularly. Should we notice fleas and or ticks during the grooming process there is an additional charge of £20 for bathing your dog in Flea treatment shampoo and the extra time it takes us to fumigate our salon to avoid cross-contamination.

General Grooming Tips

We recommend keeping to regular grooming intervals.

Treating all pets in the family, as well as treating your home will help in keeping fleas and ticks under control for the long term.
